Sugar Bears Inc. offers the Brown Sugar Softeners in five unique designs: Brown Sugar Bear, Sugar Maple Leaf, Apple, Gingerbread, and Sugar & Mice. The Potwatcher is another product produced by Sugar Bears Inc. and is made from porcelain clay. It comes in white and in the shape of a lobster. It is designed to prevent the water in pots from boiling over.
No more chiseling through rock-hard sugar! The Brown Sugar Bear is the perfect addition to baking supplies for preserving brown sugar and many other cooking and baking ingredients. Made from a specially fired clay, it helps to maintain a desired amount of moisture level in all types of sugar for approximately 2 to 3 months, depending on climate. This product is easy to use. Simply soak the Brown Sugar Bear in clean water for 20-minutes, pat dry, and then place with ingredients in an airtight container. Moisture is released slowly to keep ingredients moist for longer. Should your ingredients begin to harden, just remove Brown Sugar Bear and repeat the soaking process. Use to soften and maintain moisture in brown sugar, granulated sugar, sugar in the raw, turbinado sugar, and sugar substitutes. The product also works with baked goods, cakes, cookies, marshmallows, and dried fruit. You can also use it dry without soaking to absorb moisture and keep spices, salt, crackers, pretzels, and chips dry and crispy. The Brown Sugar Bear is reusable, so use it over and over again.
